Is it really free?
Yes. Every tool and all three editors are free to use without an account. A Pro plan raises the limits for large batches and big files.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tools run inside your browser, so your files are read from your device, processed on your device and saved back to it. We never receive them.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on Windows, macOS, Linux or a Chromebook.
Can I open Word and PSD files?
Yes. Word to PDF converts .docx files, the document editor opens and saves .docx, and the image editor opens and saves layered PSD files.
Why does the first use of a tool take a moment?
The first time you use a tool your browser downloads its engine. After that it is cached, so the tool starts right away.
Is this made by Adobe or Microsoft?
No. This is an independent project built on open-source software. It works with common file formats such as PDF, .docx and PSD.
